i often see people critisize people who store their food in glass jars but pour it from like plastic bags or cardboard boxes or whatever
actually often people on yt who think they're elite zero waste or something idk

and i disagree????
its totally fine to store your food in glass jars simply for the aesthetic

i want an open cabinet or shelves with food in glass jars it looks nice
and i dont see how its more wasteful than just storing it in the containers it came from so like
get over yourself

for me it's the better option because then i can be sure that i properly throw things whereas if i do it while emptying it.. most likely not going to throw it in the right thing

it's better for me to store things in jars because then i'll recycle the item properly rather than just toss it in the bin like idfc

for me it prevents having like 10 half empty bags of pasta bc i just feel like stuff gets lots if i dont keep it in jars and cant see whats left

l don't understand. You can just recycle the materials where the items came from if that bothers people. If the containers are the issue a lot of times at thrift stores you can buy sets, so, you don't need to buy new ones. Plus, l find it easier to store food in containers (glass, cardboard, plastic, you name it...) because you can organize your cabinets leading you to have more room.
