Ummm i would say it is very easy to comunicate, but in my opinion very difficult to have a high level mainly because of the verbs forms, the gender of the words and the different meanings of a same word, and of course the diference between the spanish form different spanish speaking countries. I also would say to watch films or tv series in spanish with subtitles, because it really helps to catch useful and natural expresions and vocabulary.

For new learners or people learning spanish i recomend you to watch the tv series: la casa de papel. It has a lot of spanish ( from spain) slang, therefore it helps to understand the way we think and create phrases. It also is very interesting as it is a worldwide known series.

yeah i'm having trouble with the grammar and how much the verbs change. suddenly you move around words which feels very unnatural but some but you gotta remember they change (i mean in comparison to english)

i would watch spanish shows with subtitles but i think i'm too much of a newbie to start with that yet. i wouldn't be able to recognize words but good idea though! i will do that later for sure

Dont worry to much with the verb forms, even spanish people dont know when to use them, it's just natural for us. You can also listen to music in spanish it helps too, but i wouldnt recommend you to listen to reggaeton ones because the pronunciation are not the best ones and the lyrics are kind of...
