not homework, just did an activity and got 1/8 correct

im mainly confused with how to identify a lab experiment... i struggle about what is classed as an "artificial" setting

then of course like natural and field are very similar except natural has a naturally occuring IV which sometimes i struggle to find

maybe i can drop a few of the Qs i got wrong n u could maybe help? (if u wanted to uwu)

"This experiment involved inviting participants to take part in a study. They were medically examined prior. The researchers then pumped smoke into the Doctor's waiting room and got confederates (actors) to sit there and do nothing, The researchers wanted to see how long the participants would be sit there before alerting people/leaving themselves"

quasi experiments and natural experiments are basically the same tho?

like both are just occurences in the real world with no setup from scientists where something occured that can be seen as a manipulation of an  independent variable like a change in law for example and is studied because of this

the extern validity is really high in those, the intern really low

a very cruel example for that is the tuskegee syphilis experiment

btw i answered field because i thought the IV was being manipulated but the setting was natural (doctors office) as a school was an example of being natural so i thought the same for doctors

answer turned out to be lab

what about control groups?
like this would be a lab experiment because they controll the environment to eliminate interference factor but i'm not sure if it's a real or simple experiment or a pre experimental
without knowledge about the control group (idk about the terms in english for sure, too lazy to google)
are the participants examined to pick the participants out of a group to make sure they are not mentally ill and will falsify the study or is the examination part of the experiment situation because examination and testing will change the subjects if they are tested a second time
