to be fair, I don't know if the ones where I'm from have cinnamon in them?
but we call them snails in luxembourgish and in german and in french it's pain aux raisons (raisin bread????)
but we usually have it with raisins and a pudding filling and the sugar on top of it usually isn't so thick and white, but more like a soft light glaze

but buns are kinda always sweet? like even hamburger buns usually have a sweeter bread than just regular small bread
