i usually translate högskola as college if høyskole is the same as in swe, but it gets weird if Americans are present, and also with brits cause of sixth form colleges

there isnt really a direct comparison, haha. the difference between a høyskole and a university, is that in a uni there is conducted science as well as education - but in høyskole there is no/very little science.
