I highly doubt its the exact same thing but they are actually very similar. Like my uncle is schizophrenic and he has a lot of the same characteristics as an autistic person. Most ppl that meet him probably assume he has some form of autism unless he starts talking about his weird ass delusions and hallucinations like how he thinks aliens talk to him from power outlets in the walls lmao

the thing that makes me doubt that its the same is that ive never heard that autism causes hallucinations, delusions or psychosis which is a big part of schizophrenia.Ā

that's a really good point and yeah you kinda answered ur own question. however i havent done like any research into schizoid... but as an autistic person if they were THAT similar surely i wouldve heard of it by now

in autism you're diagnosed on a point system which is based on multiple assessments over several appointments where u perform different tasks (at least in the uk) let me get up my own diagnosis report and show u what it looks like:
