Yeah but that's medical cicumcision, the problem is religious circumcision

fgm is legit torture, often done in extremely unsanitary places, with full on knives and no anasthesia + getting removed everything or partly every bit of the vulva + sown together to only allow a small hole for pee (which means pain, infections and ultimately death)
+ it's also a way to punish girls for having any kind of sexual organs or sexual stimulation.
