Do you feel like your jobs have taken proper precautions so you can work more safely during covid? Does your work place provide you with face masks or other safety measures?

I work in a café and in the beginning of autumn we brought in our tables from outside to get more seats inside. But our café is crowded and frankly, customers just don't care about keeping distance...

We are several people who've brought up that we think it's too crowded but the boss' answer is basically "the inspectors from the county says it's ok so we're gonna keep it"... I'm just so frustrated about it

I'm going to ask if we can get provided with face masks and push for fewer places to sit.. it just doesn't feel great to go back to work tomorrow with things being the way they are, especially not since I've spent the last week at home with a cold (got tested for covid and it came back negative thankfully)

Sorry for the long rant, but sweden it doing bare fucking minimum and I can't with this anymore... i just want to know if other swedes relate

alright this will be long but since u asked...

I work in a grocery store as a cashier, we've gotten these plastic windows in front of the register and there are "keep your distance" stickers on the floor but other than that, nothing!! I wash my hands all the time and use hand sanitizer so much that I have small cuts on my hands. I think its working though since I haven't even had a cold in 6 months, but that might also be because customers don't get too close to me anymore and most people wear plastic gloves. I wish masks were mandatory in stores, and I also wish us cashiers could wear masks but that doesn't seem to be an option! I feel like this whole situation just shows how little people care about others, especially about those who work minimum wage jobs. although most customers take precautions, some just cough or sneeze into the open air and even in my direction and I really can't do anything about it

I work at Biltema and costumers don't know how to keep distance and some talk in my face literally.

We also have the screens, but since i serve food at tables and such I get close to customers anyway unfortunately. But I'm glad to hear you've managed to stay healthy! I really hope that masks can become mandatory as well..

Not only do ppl cough or sneeze wherever, they touch everything, literally.. even stuff we have behind the counter, they just reach over and don't give a fuck

Well since it's autumn ppl can't really sit outside all the time lol, so we "have" to have more seats inside

Yep... i have a mask tho so I'm defff gon wear it tomorrow

Instead of closing pubs etc they've made a rule that alcohol can't be sold/served after 10pm, that's about it
