any1 with ipad?

I know a few of you draw on here especially digitally, so I'm just wondering if people can recommend an iPad? i was looking at the site today and there was just a normal, new iPad for just under £400, but I feel like the more expensive iPad Pro would be a better iPad?  but its much more expensive, like basically double the price, but this is an investment into my future and career, and will especially come in handy for university (fashion textiles, so I do a lot of drawings and patterns!)

I'm stuck as hell

Ipad pro bettr for drawing (das the one I have) cus the screen doesn't have a gap between the glass n actual screen but both r ok. Also it supports apple pencil 2 n ion think the regular ipad does that but idk

if ur buying an ipad for drawing i think the best and only choice would be the ipad pro cause i dont think the previous ipads were especially built for drawing like that

i have seen loads of artists use the cheaper one and i started with that as well
but then i felt it was time for an upgrade and got the 12'9 pro one and honestly i'm so happy with it n it works amazing ! i got the 2018 version !! so it supports the second apple pencil instead of the first
i deffo feel the difference in the drawing experience

i would deffo recommend the ipad pro but i think it comes down to how much ur gonna use it and how u see urself using and what for

i also use my ipad for writing / working, watch disney+, listen to spotify, games such as stardew valley n what not
so for me it made sense to get a bigger screen so it would be easier to work on n i can take it with my easily as well !

the cheaper ipad doesn't have a glass screen and is instead made of plastic and like ouch said there is a gap between where the pen is n the screen if u go with the cheap version

alsO the ipad pro apple pen charges through the magnets on the side of the ipad which is way better than having to plug it into the charging port

this is so informative thank you! I thought I'd go for the iPad in the end cus I didn't think there was much of a difference but it sounds like there is! Its just such an investment eep
Did you find that after using the iPad you really needed to upgrade to Pro? cus I was saying to my bf I'm afraid I'd end up like that.
Also I would most likely be using the iPad on a daily basis, because of my degree, so I need it for drawing, lectures, note taking, etc. I do have a macbook but I just want something more portable rlly!

no problem !!
yeah,, i felt it was 2 little for my needs and therefor i saved up to buy the pro one ! i had that cheap ipad for like 1-2 years tho ! like i was able 2 draw n all but now when i have the pro the difference is HUGE,, like for real !
if that's the case, go with the pro or else u will most likely regret getting the cheap one when the pro is so much better! but it all depends on ur budget as well, but if u have the money then yes deffo invest it in the pro version !
the experience is very different n tbh way better ! since after all it's for ur career the investment will be worth it !

I don’t draw but as a general tablet I prefer the pro so much more to the normal iPad

ans it just feels so much better to use
