So I'm writing my thesis about gender, gender roles and gender stereotypes in The Witcher (the Netflix series). I was going to focus on the three main characters, Geralt, Yennefer and Cirilla, but since I've already written 7000 words out of 10.000 I'm never going to be able to incorporate all three of them. So now I'm thinking about doing just two of them.
I could skip Geralt and focus on only female representation. However, I think masculinity and toxic masculinity is also very important to discuss so leaving that out would mean that my work doesn't have that much variety.
I could skip Cirilla. She's a child, so that way I can completely focus on adult stereotypes etc. Besides that, Yennefer and Geralt have a relationship and scenes together, so the tension between them could be interesting too.
However, skipping one means that I'm leaving out one of the main characters, which is also kind of weird but if I'd have to fit them all within those 10k words I'll lose a lot of depth...
What would you do?
