Poll: Do you struggle with acne?
Help! Acne Treatment Experience?!
Private
Popstar

So I’ve finally been allowed, by a dermatologist, to be put on that acne treatment that demands blood tests every month. The A vitamin one(isotretinoin). I think it’s like one of the most effective treatments or whatever, and I’m curious about y’all’s experiences with it?

I’ve only been on it for 5 days and I made the “mistake” of reading the side effects and stuff for this crap, and now I’m a slight bit worried if they’re gonna like kill me or something.

tell me your experiences please!

How long did it take for you to notice a difference?

I've heard that it's good, great for acne and anti aging as it speeds up the cell turnover. It can be sensitizing, but as long as you introduce it gradually into your skincare routine you should be fine

That’s what I’m on! Didn’t you have to have blood tests taken?

Hmm, I had an eye cream with retinoids in it, I stopped bc of laziness and because I think it's a bit too early for anti aging for me lmao

When you say “extremely dry skin” what are we talking? Like is putting makeup on gonna be a bitch cause my skin just peels off? And how were your lips? My lips were a bitch before this, and I’m kinda afraid they’re gonna be so dry and cracked that I cannot kiss anyone

side effects were absolutely brutal too not even gonna pretend it wasnt awful but by god if my skin wasnt absolutely flawless afterwards

its been four years since i finished the cure now i think? and i only get acne n shit if i actually do something to cause it now like not wash my face or sleep in makeup. worth it
