Omfg i had a guinea pig when i was a kid and the fkn animal store we got him from didnt tell us u need to have at least 2 of them cuz they cant be alone so he died from like depression and loneliness and im still salty about it
From my experience, the depends on the pig. Before Alfred, I had one named Otto who just couldn't go with mates. He would attack them quite viciously. He got loads of attention, which Alfred did before i saved Edgar. It is possible - Males from my experience tend to do better on their own (with attention from owner) than females.
