do all kittens claw up your furniture or what

mine didn't when he was a kitten and doesn't do it much now either. He has one chair he likes to scratch on, and very rarely the side of my bed, but he usually uses his scratching post and leave's everything else alone

so i think it depends on the cat

i haven't gotten one ,,, yet
i just wana make sure it's the right choice u know
i'm moving apartments in three weeks and idk most of my furniture will be new and like i don't really know abt the size of my apartment. i mean it's big enough right but it's a one bedroom apartment so i'm afraid if i have ppl over or playing music the cat wont have anywhere else to go if he wana be by himself

one of my cat still do it once in awhile, but it doesn't really ruin the things he scratches on, bc of how it's made i guess? so we dont really care about it

Not always, but its hard to stop them once they start.  My cats wouldn’t stop scratching my doorframe so I tacked foam and leather to it and just made it a scratching post. If ya can’t beat em join em lol
Kittens always behave better when you have two, in my fostering experience.

My cats are visibly bothered by loud music their ears will go back sad

if she has something thats  meant for her to scratch on shes less likely to scratch furniature. cat scratchers are really important for cats.

like they HAVE to scratch or their little claws get uncomfortable so if you dont have something around shes meant to scratch shell scratch whatever she can.

i think you wanna make sure she gets used to scratching the right things while shes still young and like baiting the post with catnip helps and always having like a post thats not all fucked up and unscratchable anymore
