this is giving me anxiety

I just need to rant about a privileged and first world problem, because it's getting to me.

So. Last September I moved to London for my studies and surprisingly got signed by a model agency. I don't know how the fuck that happened but that's not the point. I haven't gotten any jobs yet because they rarely want newcomers since they don't know if newcomers deliver. STILL NOT THE POINT THO. Due to the coronavirus and studies moving online for this term I went back to my home country for an undefined amount of time. I have informed my agency and they were okay with it. Today the agency contacted me telling me they are putting me forward to a job in Paris I might be able to get BUT LIKE I HAVE TO TAKE THE FUCKING PLANE TO GET TO PARIS? WILL THE JOURNEY BE PAID? WHAT ABOUT MISS CORONA?

I'm just really worried the agency is gonna drop me because I am currently not in London and don't know when I'll return and it gives me sleepless nights because I have BILLS to pay and this is the only way I might be able to get some money since my home country and the UK is in lockdown and finding a job is impossible.

Thanks for coming to my completely invalid ted talk, I am aware of how ridiculous this is but I needed a good rant on a fairly anonymous platform.

I think your ted talk is very valid. Privilege will affect what causes your pain\stress but it won't take away from its existence, and the fact that everyone experiences it in different ways.Ā

Over to your rant issue, I have no idea what you should do, really, but the first issue to tackle seems to be to get some clarity in if they will pay for your tickets to Paris and where you will stay, and such, since that can be quite a financial burden. Also, your own feelings about traveling with covid in the air and how the situation in Paris is v. where you are ex, and all the rules around that.

I mean honestly, when I came back from the UK by plane it seemed saver than going to your local grocery store bc literally NO ONE is flying atm. I had 7 rows of seats to myself. It's to soon to ask about the whole travel/staying stuff because I don't know any details about the job yet. My manager has asked me if I used to dance and when I replied with that I have taken lessons for 10 years she told me she'd put me forward on a job in Paris and will give me more details in the coming days. I might ask for clarity once I actually know what the job will be.

I mean it's probably a chance but if they are putting you forth to a job right now it seems instead that they are giving you a shot

I don't even know why this is worrying me so much because I literally hate being infant of the camera. At the same time I kinda love it tho '._.

You're going into something new (I assume). Of course, it's going to be intimidating! Our brain is basically made to react to changes as something stressful, and this can be\is a big change. Like, give it the best flow you have when the time comes and you'll probably figure if your hate for being in front of a camera is bigger than the reasons you love it : )
