Oh, well that's cute.

The distillery "couldn't afford" to keep me on staff (aka - I revamped the task and turned a 3 person job into a 1 person job so they kept the 1 who took less money) just bought a brand new 3000 gallon still (something like that is well over $200,000 USD)

real cute
real fuckin' cute

they also fired my friend who was the apprentice distiller and replaced her with a lower paid part timer.

never be loyal to a job because you won't get the same, and neverrrrr do more work without more money, and neverrrrrr show them how fast you are because then it's expected

ugh
fuck capitalism and also fuck the alcohol industry I hated working in the alcohol industry anyways
whatever

this isn't the first time I've worked myself out of a job.

I should only take contract jobs lol

AND EVERY TIME I PUT IN A HELL OF A GOOD JOB AND GET PASSED OVER

like shit, my personality isn't great, but it's not like I was anyones boss or interacting with customers, I literally worked alone. It was glorious.

Dude I might lol
because that's literally what I do at every production job I've had.
I've doubled or tripled their output, reduced waste, reduced returns/breakage in shipping
ugh

I swear its not about how good you are at your job anymore.

in shipping we went from 20% breakage on glen cairn glasses (which I shipped THOUSANDS of and are very expensive), down to ZERO broken after hiring me.
Just sayin'

srsly tho working in the alcohol industry sat poorly with me so this is probably for the best?
no one in the industry seems comfortable talking about the fact their product kills (but they're more than happy to talk trash about addicts and the pharma industry lol)

I do need to update it eventually lol.
Unfortunately I stay at jobs for such short bursts of time it just looks bad.

I'm mostly self employed at this point thank fuck, I'm not cut out for working within the system. lol

Yeah my friends and I literally just filed the IRS paperwork to start a 501c3, starting a nonprofit so we can get grants to fund community music & art ventures and help liaison other creatives in the direction they need to go to get their ideas rolling and funded.

I cannot be happy in a job that doesn't matter.
making bourbon, shipping liquor, doesn't matter at all. to ANYONE except the fellers upstairs cashing in.
I'm not the type to be fulfilled by working for someone else unless its working to make my community better.

Ohh this reminds me of the company who couldn't afford my 700€/month salary anymore (it was like 2 days a week where I spent 10hrs/day with no fucking break, so then the person who usually took the calls and 'helped so much with [my] work anyway' had to do it and she quit 2 months after that bc of the workload. The workaholic boss had to downsize and do everything herself again - good riddance

shame about the money tho
