depends. if you want the material clean fixed back together it can be expensive depending on the type of material. if its a cheaper material and slightly malleable I would glue it using an appropriate glue. for most fashion or cheaper rings then clear cement glue usually used for gluing gems into craft jewelry might work. (just google jewellery glue). I would only get this fixed professionally if the ring is a) worth a lot of money b) fragile or c) you're unable to do it due to dexterity (ie shaky hands).
