fixing broken ring?

to neaten a messy glue job you can lightly sand the outside with sandpaper. and considering the break is on the inside half of the ring (from your description) then perfection seems unnecessary.

its an expensive siler or white gold ring (cant remember which, think its white gold) ring. so ill prob get it done professionally. just hope its not too expensive.
