also I buy a lot of tapes on the cheap at thrift stores bc collectors, believe it or not, will pay decent money for some tapes (like I pay 1-2$, they'll pay 8-15$).  But I have to watch them before I can grade and sell them.

yeah dude, I'd say about a third of my tapes I can sell for about 10 bucks a pop as long as they play through alright.
Also I find some good shit on my librarys "free" cart. I got a copy of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and a copy of Serial Mom on VHS there

it turns on and does things, the TV is just not recognizing it?
