imo those catheters don't usually hurt that are placed in the ??? elbowy part of your front hand???? but if they stick it in my wrist or the back of my hand i might shred a tear

it wasn't a super fun experience, the catheter was in my wrist but i felt the pain along the vein to my elbow. but it was a kinda interesting sensation, different from most pain i've felt

i've never had an urinary catheter and i'm kinda dreading it. i feel like every time i'm in the hospital there's an old man wanting to go pee in the toilet and the nurses keep telling him that his pee is going to the bag every 5 minutes
i think the quality of work in medical care generally can usually be measured in how much the nurse is paying attention to their work, often it seems to not be a lot tbh. but obviously some are just inexperienced etc, i don't wanna bash anyone for being new to somethingĀ

omg that's another nightmarish pain if the tube has been under pressure for hoursĀ
it was a nightmare uff i was bruised all over the back of my hand for weeks
omg no i'm slightly traumatised from an er nurse basically stabbing my hands with a needle; elbow, another elbow, right hand, left hand, right hand again. i still remember the order because every time she tried to get it in it hurt even more hellishly lot. ew
