i mean to be honest the DS game did have an economy also but it was completely different and based on bells and flowers
it was so much less toxic
i dont want to be a boomer and blame zoomers but the entire ecosystem changed with instagram and aesthetics and uwu
just a different game, can't say if it's better / worse
