because i weren't aware those were used during surgeries. i did a surgery a few years ago and thought they made me pee afterwards solely because of the drugs i was given but apparently they always use catheters??

which makes sense obviously but i just feel gross knowing they did that but didn't let me know? like at least just let me know y'all gona do that? i've asked everyone i know has gotten surgery and they weren't aware of it either (with an exception of my mom, who they woke up before getting the catheter out, but she wasn't aware of it until they took it out) 

isn't that weird? obviously i get that it's needed, but why wouldn't you just give your patients a heads up?

Ahhh, right. Yeah it's just like they don't mention if they're gonna put an intubation/endotracheal tube down your fucking throat which will cause you a lot of pain once you wake up. It's kinda weird, especially if it's your first time
