I feel like it's just about mutual respect? Respect both your best friend AND their partners boundaries, and respect the fact that your partner has close friends?

My ex used to be extremely possesive in the start and insecure/jealous around my guy friends which didnt make sense since he had mainly friends who are girls (but he ended up cheating so siike) ??
