yes its totally okay to say you are not free, you do not have to specify to them why that is

also literally do not tell an employer about mental health shit there is always a risk you will end up discriminated against for it.

you tell them you have an important appointment that you cannot reschedule.

that said i've had jobs where i've been comfortable telling managers 'monday is therapy that's why i can't work on mondays'

but early on in a job like you are you should absolutley withhold that information.

ofc you should tell them you can't work it you don’t have to specify what kind of appointment it is either just tell them it’s important and can’t be rescheduled
fuck feeling bad for them lmao do u really think they care?? You’re not gonna get any extra thanks or anything for it so honestly put yourself first

at my old job I just left I’d have therapy on random days and as long as I told my supervisor I had an appointment she would rearrange for me

well i do in fact care about them cause my aunt works there and i love her dearly haha... It's like i do feel a bit bad cos it's not just some retail job with a meanie boss who would fuck everyone over in a heartbeat,, just like a really small daycare where everyone suffers when staff is gone... like the headmaster comes in and helps when were understaffed and stuff.

but yeah i mean i also probably should not be feeling as guilty as i might cos i doubt anyone else there would in the same situation lmao....
