i'm thinking of spending 450€ on a bed frame

it's a black metal frame canopy bed that has metal slats to support the mattress so no need to worry about breaking the bottom of the bed because it just seems to keep happening with wooden ones...... the shorter sides are welded together and are screwed together with the long sides, so it may or may not be flimsy. i've built a bed frame from scratch before and i'll probably add some extra supports to begin with, and i'll also need to fit my current mattress with a 20 cm wide board/storage or something and like i'm capable to do all this but is it worth the price and the work? it's pretty

the question is how hard you go for it if your bed always breaks

the pro/con list is awfully unbalanced but i'm still so tempted...... i'll measure the spot i have in mind for the bed first thing when i get the keys and if it fits i'll probably order it. or at least i'm trying to wait until then. idk though, the delivery time is 2-3 weeks and it'd only end up costing me 30€ if i returned it, maybe i should just order it to test it out in the space

i mean..... i've broken at least 4 beds??? the one i built was built around  2x4 planks supporting 2x tatami and that one i couldn't break. if i get this one i'll actually probably still add some planks vertically over the metal slats and do some corner supports at least. i don't like beds that give in when you move on it, i'm pretty heavy and don't like being overly careful about the place i sleep etc in... like i'm not as aggressive i come across, the beds i've broken were old and/or structurally questionable with some branch points in places there shouldn't be ones etc.
