some unexpected and really intensely scary things went down, i don't want to go into details, i need to get something else on my mind because afterwards i had to wait around and deal with cops. they were sweet though. point of the thread: how to relax and calm down enough to get some sleep after something happens and you kinda feel like it wasn't real or that it happened to someone else right after because it was that much to process? it's 2.40am and all i've wanted tonight was to sleep

I usually put on something I've watched before (my comfort TV is british murder mystery tv shows lol)
and do something mind-numbing, like play tetris (which has actually been studied for reducing anxiety and ptsd after traumatic events)

i put on bob's burgers and got like 12 hours of sleep <3
also my ex was always complaining about me playing tetris or similar mobile games when i got anxious enough, and he wouldn't believe that it actually eased my symptoms. i got stuck on it sometimes for sure, but it was wack having someone give me shit about something that helps me calm down and keep my head together. impromptu rant about ex: done for tonight
