it does help a bit with me being able to be seen as how I choose to present myself rather than how people choose to perceive me, I can more easily control who has access to me without having to worry about seeing them at work the next day, and I have more time to think about communicating properly since I don't have someone trying to force eye contact with me. even when I feel like I'm going into a safe space there's a part of me that can't help but stare at the "post" button for 20 minutes wondering if people are even going to care about what I have to say and if I can mentally/emotionally handle someone deciding to be rude to me.
