person who i'm not friends with or even really having a conversation with, only exchanging a quick comment in passing: i have a headache
me: aw that sucks, i hope it gets better soon
them: it's really awful and no meds are helping
me: oh man, i feel your pain. maybe [thing] could help? i really hope your pain eases soon!
them: no it doesn't help and this other thing also doesn't help, also my hamster died yesterday so i'm just really stressed right now
me: i'm so sorry to hear that. that sounds tough. i really hope you find something that helps and i wish you the best, take care of yourself
them: i don't think anything will help it's just terrible, and my hamster was so important to me i have nothing now
me: ahh well i still hope things will turn out ok for you! take care of yourself now!
them: well it's pretty much hopeless at this point, my hamster was really expensive and i'm also failing my classes in school, my headache isn't going away anyway and also i think my boyfriend is cheating on me and my doctor is an asshole

like why'd you have to do all that
i'm horrible at ending/exiting social situations but i think it's?? pretty clear that i'm trying to end the conversation here while the other person just will not stop
