when people i meet ay stupid shit. Like yesterday I was at a dinner thingy and this girl started to blurt out the "im so ocd, my writing has to be on the line and i always clean" for some reason during a convo.

Then simply stated that I actually had ocd and two sec later she's apologizing

"Oh i didnt mean that i had it , i am just ocd ish"

I dont know lol. I also see a lot of ads for phone games use it wrongly.
I do find the misuse annoying.  I don't think ocd is a quirky and cute thing, since I was admitted and am being medicated to suppress certain behaviors that would prevent me from living a normal functioning life.

I do remember the tumblr 2014 era where eds, ocd, depression, anxiety etc was romanticized heavily. I think this is some of the pieces still left from that period along with misuse of other diagnosis such as depression and anxiety.

right? they dont even know what theyre talking about. It's disrespecting. i have pretty bad asthma and people love saying they feel like an asthmatic when theyre out of breath. it's .... annoying to say the least.

oh god.. it was so messed up. I've noticed that a lot of that is still on Tiktok. That place is scary. so many sicknesses are being romanticized, with the most recent one being, god complexes.

Yes. I have reported so many fucking accounts. As someone who has had a very bad ed most of my life it's triggering af. Luckily I have gotten the tools to help myself, but god damn. Some stuff should be left in the past lol.

Right?

The shit I hear most of the time is just people misusing the term psychosis and psychotic, as someone with a schizotypical diagnosis it just annoys me. Like, dude, you're not psychotic because you hallucinated for twenty seconds when you did lsd.

BPD has become the new "I have depression bc web doctor told me" stick I feel, even though people still make us out to be abusive monsters by default they still run away waving their arms and screaming about having bpd.

ppl think its so cool to suffer from bpd when in fact we're seen, as you said, as abusive, horrible people
like no i dont go around saying i have bpduwu bc its literally scary to be open about a disorder like that
we have enough w the constant "oh they're a danger", n having these people just making our disorder a fucking joke or a uwui am a bit bpd hehe i get mad sometimes uwu, just hurts

People sure love to label themselves with mental disorders, yet once they meet someone with said disorder they treat them either weirdly or like shit and shut them out.
It's like this shit is romanticized, and it drives me nuts cause this shit isn't fun. It's can be quite hellish and exhausting. This stuff ain't some quirky trait to add to the ego. Hope one day people can be more enlightened about this.

Exactly.
Living with BPD is fucking terrifying, it's not fun or cute not being able to count on your own emotions. It's not cute having to depend on medication to be somewhat stable. It's not cute when I go from literally hating my best friend because he accidentally left me on read, to loving him the second I see him in real life again.

aaaaah, it hurts so much.
