Rhubarb is wonderful, is it perennial in your area? I planted mine and you never have to plant it again, except to dig it up and separate it every 3-4 years.
You cannot eat it the same year you planted.

is selleri the same as celery? I've never grown it, but I'm growing lovage, which is a perennial herb that supposedly tastes the same.

Look up companion planting!
It's how I decide what to plant together.
I rarely plant in nice neat rows, more like filled clusters of plants and herbs that grow well together.
