I don't usually buy modern artists, I have a few I support, and yeah, on those I can expect to spend 20-30, but the majority of my records are not modern artists.
I think I have 2 modern artists records? maybe 3, and a few compilations from Something Weird

but I mostly buy old records, and if I am gonna spend more than a few bucks on an old record, it better be good or rare or something I REALLY want.  I have this one record I spent more on than I usually do but its some super weird psychedelic story teller and it was so worth it

This is my FAVORITE record, Yancey by Celia Yancey, I only paid a few bucks for it
it was virtually impossible to find information on her up until she died a few months ago
there's some rips of the record on youtube, but they all cut off at the end, so it's kinda neat that the only way I can actually listen to her is by playing this record
