i'm going to get another tattoo a snake to cover 2 spaces on my arm

the intention is anti self harm first to heal my other arm and then to just not do it bc i want the tattoo to heal
i also would never hurt a tattoo u know

thing is i have very limited income so im using money i have saved not all of it but still

im going to do it no matter what but like should i feel guilty ?

i think it's a good reason. i took tattoo on my left wrist once because i thought i would never cut it open while it's there ye

There are some artists out there that help out with SH cover up costs.

idk if i care for covering my scars. i know i'll tattoo over them but it doesn't matter if they're still visible

Just trying to think up some financial options, because there are definitely organizations out there that help with this stuff, I'm just not familiar with them all, especially not outside the US, but I've always been told, "if its a good idea, if it's needed, there's always money if you know who to ask and how to ask for it"
granted I've never applied that advice in this particular way before lol

But if you do spend your own money and pay full price, as long as you aren't putting yourself in dire financial strain, and you think it would help you, I don't think you should feel guilty
I think folks who have been broke long enough, or on benefits, etc, we like to beat ourselves up anytime we do something nice for ourselves (like, I spent days trying to decide if I "deserved" to have the air conditioner in my car fixed)
there's definitely a difference between getting a tattoo as self care, and having a few financially tight months, vs like, a wild manic spending spree that puts you thousands in debt.

the purpose is more covering "clean" skin so i won't burn it and not to be like that but i think my scars are part of who i am
i've actually never heard of a tattoo artist that covers scars cheaper
