I know the assistant manager comes in hungover/slightly drunk from night b4 on the reg, but not enough 4 it to be readily apparent, he helped prevent my firing, used to even call in quite often I guess cuz he was hungover or w/e 

Work with a 23 y/o who totaled 3 cars from drinking, he was late one day and I could tell something was up, he was honest and admited he almost called in cuz he drank 17 beers the night before and was still a lil drunk 

My boss was a heavy drinker in college, acknowledged I cut way back and said he never called me out in the past cuz he gets it lol, and he likes that I at least show up so he gave me a chance 

This is in the produce apartment alone, I have other stories from other departments, dis is how grocery stores roll especially if it ain't front end 

Show up, do ur job, and they don't care

In my area restaurant staff tend to prefer crank, tho blow happens, mostly crank tho, dated two line cooks can confirm
