i often help my friends and family plan renovations etc, and the way i go about things is usually like making an initial sketch, then look for ways to make my ideas into reality and start picking everything apart, and can in the end translate it into a list of every nail, screw, piece of timber, tool etc needed + make a step by step plan

most of the work is invisible in the end result, can be pretty frustrating and confusing too if you haven't done anything like it before, because there's so many things you need to buy and pay to get done

lol kinda, but my landlord pays for the materials, i do the labour and get to keep a low rent and live in a prettier place <3 i have pretty much free hands too, i've picked all the paint shades, a new flooring for the kitchen, picked up a solid timber countertop on his tab based on my preference etc. we've been talking about maybe gutting the shower and toilet and apparently i get to plan it if i want to. crazie indeed
