I’m not an actor, but I’ve been on reality tv
For me, an opportunity opened up and I took it, luckily I didn’t need to act. I’m awful at acting I just had to be myself and confident, confidence will get you far. It did with me 😂
Confidence got me onto Netflix. Fake it till you make it.
Look around, look online for casting calls.. even join a theatre if you can, that might help to build up your skills and confidence, they might even help you get some gigs. Try and audition for everything, even roles you know you won’t get.. it will give you some practice and an insight into the world of acting and how roles are cast..
With voice acting, a good idea is to offer to do some voice work for free, get your name out there and it’s great practice.. or even join fiver.. there’s many people on here who would support you. But try and get as much practice as you can, confidence is the key..
If where you live have a theatre group, join that.. it’s a good place to start,, act in local plays.
I tried the Fiver route this morning but got frustrated because it wouldn't let me verify my mobile number. Probably shouldn't be trying as soon as I wake up!
I know there is an agency in Cardiff but they ask for cover letters and CVs...but what would you even put on it with no experience??
Hmm, maybe make a social media page and promote your voice acting, try and advertise your talents, make a few drafts and mock-up voice files so people have an idea of your service, try and make it as unique as possible, you want to stand out. making sure you stand out is key..
