Yes.
Yes.
I would say somewhat better than Alina's story since most of the Six of Crows plot isn't in the series due to timelines. But you're totally missing out on some other parts of alina's story as well that is more prominent and intriguing in the books.

no why
except being like a trainwreck on diversity\representation probably but everything YA pre 2017 basically suffers from that

hahha moooood az!
except i did analyse acotar for school thus i dislike it bc i have broken the reader barrier of magic, but also i did not like the first book bc it was slow, and as well all know now i'm here for nesta but i haven't even read the new one yet and i dunno if i ever will. also, like the second book hype is what won that series over to the masses imo. except it being sjm tho which we all know what to expect from.

red queen is from that era too right? six of crows maybe? the wrath and the dawn? like when i think back 2015 was a weird era it feels a bit like a middle between early 2010 YA which was like thg and twilight literally reimagining the genre for pop culture consumption, and then post-2017 where it took an entirely new step into diversity and such.

the second acotar book was so good tbh , the third was a bit .. long but I still loved it
the novella however, jesus christ, there was 1 scene I liked where azriel laughed bc of elaines gift but the rest was pretty awful

i think soc may be a 2015 book (i think i read it in 2016?) but it did have better diversity than others at it's age that's true

yeahh the second one was epic when i read it. i don't know if i'll like it as much if i reread it tho. my taste is different now. I know sjm writing is generally really good in terms of descriptions, flow and such --- but like, i don't know like the faes, the steamy scenes, just all of that. my head cannot deal with it anymore.
