Unfortunately she can't prescribe meds so I have to find a prescriber, and ADHD meds can be risky for folks with bipolar, which I do continue to screen positive for (Type "not otherwise specified" lol wtf)
I have no idea how to deal lol
but my best friend is coming over to help me try to clean my house because it's so disgusting

i think it's fairly "common" here in finland that they diagnose adhd/add to people 30+ years old now
for example my cousin. she was always just problematic "stupid" child but no she got diagnosed with add at age 35 and got meds and said first time ever she fel like her brains shut up for a second and she managed to do shit
well idk she managed to get herself master degree in technology before her diagnosis so idk what she's talking about

I think they missed it in me because I did pretty well in school. I didn't "excel" but I made good enough grades to get into a competitive college - it was my junior and senior year of college that I just started falling apart and really fucking up.

I had a lot of well-meaning friends try to tell me they thought I was autistic but I think that the adhd/bipolar comorbidity diagnosis makes way more sense personally.

I've had so few bipolar episodes that they can't really give me a specific diagnosis (1, 2, or cyclo) so I'm just "other" right now until I slip again, I guess

oh i see !! tbh same,, or well my episodes didn't fit the numbers exactly so it says unspecified but i'm being treated as if i have bipolar type 2 because of the episodes lasting shorter

mines categorized BD-NOS
I googled it

"Bipolar disorder not otherwise specified (BD-NOS) is a diagnosis for bipolar disorder (BD) when it does not fall within the other established sub-types. Bipolar disorder NOS is sometimes referred to as subthreshold bipolar disorder."

from my understanding, lot of folks eventually leave the BD-NOS diagnosis and fall into a category as they get older, have more episodes, and more symptoms.
The BD-NOS just helps folks not fall thru the cracks and helps with a mental health history??

that's very interesting !
i hope 2 god that i won't experience any episodes again considering i am medicated for bipolar
but i'm very certain that if i were to experience the episodes again later on it would for sure fall into bipolar type 2 without doubt due to how short they have always been
