do you mean Nordlys? b\c there's a Sami-inspired character and community that appears in book 3. The character seems to continue into book 4 based on what was being said at the end of book 3, but i haven't read book 4. tbh the story overall hit me like some peter pan retelling (#sorrynotsorry). The Vikings are the evils while the main character is a girl from Røros that gets into the "magic realm" where everything happens and meets some of the creatures that are prevalent in Old Norse cosmology. Since they are kids books, I can't really blame them for being "obvious" in their structure and some happenings.
I liked Fenrisulven better because it was much more focused on the Vikings, and had so much more details embedded into it.
