teens love to complain about work

or school, and how there are so many deadlines and so little flexibility and how exhausting it all is yadda yadda

and there are def valid criticism on the school system or toxic work culture

but let me get one thing clear

TEENS CANT ORGANIZE FOR SHIT

i have been in multiple volunteer projects made out of teens/adolescents and MOST of them were disorganized as hell. there was no project management, no member list, nobody knew what to do so everyone was just doing their own thing with no coordination at all

and the trend with these projects is always that people are super hyped for like 2 months (and im being generous here) but then half of the team goes AWOL after that. it always dies a slow death like a dog in misery

young people often have superiority complexes like 'we could do this better than adults' no you can't

conclusion: you need deadlines, you need people to chase you with a broomstick, otherwise ain't shit getting done, ever

with teens doing projects its often their first time doing something like that so they dont really have a grasp on how to actually physically do it. imo there should always be an adult/older person to help with projects, its easier for everyone tbh

Honestly, the whole argument that you don't go to school to learn the subjects you're taught but rather how to learn and how to manage your time and shit would somewhat make sense if people were actually taught those things and not just that you need to do them.

Teenagers complain about work and school because it takes up the majority of their time, and leave no room to actually breathe and take care of themself, and their needs.

It has nothing to do with superiority complexes, it has something to do with human beings not being made for sitting still on their ass and overworking themselves every day.

thinking about it, its actually bizarre how high schoolers can make russerevy/skolerevy/grad play. just an entire play, organized solely by the teens.

no, but it helps. if you organize and plan things, you have at least a bit of a structure in all that mess. exhaustion cant really be fixed like that, but if you have other people doing the thing with you you can try organizing things so that you are capable of contributing without complete burnout
