keep wanting to increase my dose in lyrica

every time i go he asks if i want to up the dose and i know he's well aware that it's an addictive substance? lmao. so every time i tell him well i don't have debilitating anxiety anymore so no. n every time he's like hm.... i see

i feel like he's taking it as a bad thing and idgi

like 'debilitating anxiety' is really bad like not having that doesnt make you necessarily like 'all better' he may see that on your current dose youre surviving and beleive that at a higher dose youll go beyond survival and start thriving. in my completely unprofessional dumbass opinion that would be a reason a doctor would want to increase a dose even though you feel 'better'. better isnt best and you can feel better than better. maybe.

have you asked him why he wabts to increase your dose so badly? like 'bro why do you keep doing this?? im very concerned about the addictive nature of this drug?????' have you said that?

he may see something in the other stuff you say during the sessions that makes him think otherwise
if you haven't asked him why he keeps doing that you should

that specific medicine is the hardest to get out of the system because they're so addictive (like for ur brain)
n i've been unable to quit them after having tried like 5 times to set them out but it never works because i get so dizzy and lose my will to live because of it
i just had to share when i read the name of the medicine

i refuse to believe it's worse than efexor. i got tinnitus from it and it haven't gone away in 4 years
of course it can be just coincidence but i've read that i'm not the only one so yeah..

oh wow that's... wow
my escitalopram medication (20mg a day) was stopped pretty much in a snap bc doc thought it was useless. it was switched to another med in the process tho so maybe that's why my brain didn't go too crazy

Also, not related to psych things at all but it is about medication

remember how my neurologist told me i'm not "allowed" to get pregnant now because of the medication i'm on for my trigeminal neuralgia. well i talked to my sister and turns out she's on the same medication for her epilepsy. and she just had a baby and she continued the medication through pregnancy. she told me ur allowed to you just have to take more folic acid. so i suppose she was allowed to keep taking it bc epilepsy is more harmful than nerve pain and like i GET IT it makes sense. but dang it does suck that because excruciating pain isn't "actually harmful" i just have to suck it up if i ever have a baby LOL
