so i just read something on instagram that reminded me of this.
the other day in the city i saw a girl probably 11-12 years old wearing denim shorts that were so short her actual ass cheeks were showing. and my immediate reaction was oh no that's awful, she's just a kid and she shouldn't be showing all that, i worry for her.
but i know i've also read a lot of sentiments like, if you have a problem with a kid "showing too much skin", you're the problem because you're sexualizing a literal child. and i've agreed with those. bc legs are just legs like if you see a child wearing shorts as too suggestive that ain't right
yet now i don't agree
i do think a butt is "private parts" and inherently not as neutral. because i mean touching someone's butt or boobs is not the same as touching someone's leg or arm, right? like one would be ok and the other not. that's why i feel uneasy about this. but yes, i'm curious about what you guys think? feel free to call me out i guess but please be nice
