I thought about getting the basic version of the new one with the M1 processor (8cores tho), because it has no fans and my noise sensitive brain could work in peace but also apple kinda sucks and it's soo expensive.

i have the MacBook Pro with the m1 processor and no fans and I highly recommend this version! compared to our old Mac it doesn't heat up at all (or like it only starts heating up when it's 30*C) and it just doesn't make any noises <333
also the system itself works fast - but gotta say our other MacBook is old so maybe it's why it just slowed down and now comparing both mine seems so much faster

What do you use it for (what workload?) did you have any problem with running programs?

I use my mom's 5 year old hp envy and it is so loud and it had this preinstalled keylog maleware that hp just 'forgot' to remove before distribution so I don't trust hp as a brand anymore.
