Are there any non synthetic yarns that are good for blankets? I was working on a waffle stich acrylic one, but the sound and felling of it, makes my skin crawl.

Like im thinking of cotton, but it's not very warm right? and i fear how stiff it would be.

idk i feel like everything non acrylic would make a very heavy and expensive blanket. especially if youre doing the waffle stitch uff
but cotton can be warm? think of a hoodie made of cotton, its warm right?

do them yarn calculations from how much yarn you have used already to figure out how much more you need

Well i made 2 and a half line with a non full skein of yarn.. hmm.. Im thinking 3 or 4 lines on a full skein. That makes for about 30-40 skeins i believe.

I did make it really long, but on the other hand, that means that if i get further and think it's getting to big, i could just make the height smaller and therefor decrease the amount of yarn needed, because it sounds like alot for me too. I calculated on if it had to be somewhat a kvadrat, so crossing my fingers.

Which hooks do yall have for crochet?
I currently just have the cheap plastic handle ones, but I though i could wish for some better ones for christmas, as the metals slide out the plastic on mine.
