If you're in a warm country and you're dehydrated there's a lot of benefits.
I've been pretty much everywhere, and every time I go to a warm climate, I know I'm prone to suffer from dehydration quickly. However with time, comes wisdom. If you, every morning, drink a cup of salt/sugar water, it helps bind the water you drink throughout the day.
However you should still drink regular water, and if you simply drink saltwater you'll also get dehydrated in a warm climate.
That's why parents will also let you drink more soda on vacation, salt and sugar, binds water to your body.
I will say, I don't know if it really serves any benefits if you're just doing it on a daily basis.
