Working w/ drunks

My co-worker comes in yesterday all red eyed and clammy and pallor and I'm thinking "lol someone had fun last night"

He confesses yep he hungover

"Make sure to tell anyone who asks that I was fast and productive" he says while standing drinking a coffee obviously slowed down from his condition

From one drunk to another, it's on you if you drink too much the night before, you deal w/ those consequences, like I have (such as being denied a raise. Fair enough, I didnt deserve one at all).

Manager was like "so did he miss mike (coworker who is on vacation)?"

"No, he missed his bed cuz he was hungover."

"No wonder it looks like shit out there. Maybe he should go back to that counselor"

Lmfao

Jfc I hate my job

My last two bfs were line cooks. One was an alcoholic, the other was a tweaker, both came in under the influence on a regular basis, and smoking weed on the rooftop during break was a regular occurence

Kitchens are so understaffed and require little to no qualifications that theyll take anyone as long as they show up and do their job tbh

Tho more upscale places may have higher standards, idk
