Much easier to just get all your vitamins through your food, unless you're a vegan or have a specific deficiency that is difficult to manage just by eating the right things.

Depending on the brand, i think they average around 10-20dollars for 100 tablets.

What kind of food? If you get your iron mostly from non-animal products then you also need vitamin C, since that increases the uptake of iron from vegetable sources.

It depends a lot on what vitamins and if it's some fancy plant based organic whatever stuff

My D3 is like 5€ a month and my vitamins for vegans is 10€ a batch (one should take 2 every day but I only take 1 bc I'm a vegetarian so they last a bit longer) and my iron is like 6€ for 100 tablets. 
I usually go with the pharmaceutical brand because those supplement brands are very poorly regulated and I don't wanna kill my kidneys.

I take citamin c when I take iron supplement, n mostly its iron from meat, but some vegetables too
