i think the worst part is that no one in my family has gotten used to it yet. they still call me by my birthname even tho it's been 8 months

my sister changed her entire name and my mom did NOT like it because "the parents named her first". She's 23...

I told my dad tho and my dad was ok with it, i get it if someone forgets every now and then and uses the "old name", but i feel like people should try to get used to it and respect the decision tbh

Yeah i get that. 
I told my dad he's free to call me by my first name. 

But the thing is, that mom gets mad over the slightest change, i want to be called by my middle name which i always liked more.
I don't see why it's a problem, it's still my name, and still the name she chose
