Yeah, but that's the best suggestion I have. Forums or MP, you can be lucky and find some good items for cheap at times, though.

It's sadly my only suggestions, as more and more credits get in game, prices rise. It sucks, but it's unavoidable though (unless we choose to lower it as a collective, but imagine that happening).
