that wasn't necessarily directed at you, just a general statement.
lots of teenage girls and young adults get diagnosed with bpd when they don't actually have it - especially in the US

And yeah, I'm sure that happens a lot, there are some truly rotten psychiatrists out there.

lmao yeah. i was diagnosed with it too and i was like oh ok makes sense, but when i went to group therapy and see people with actual bpd it was like wtf i'm not like that
last year i got it changed to uhh idk what's in english but "other personality disorder", because depressive personality disorder can't be it's own diagnose anymore

sometimes it feels like the modern day "female hysteria" 
like, "oh this woman is behaving in ways that are inconvenient for me! must be bpd or odd!"
