I love Yoga with Adrien and that challenge is super fun.
Do you usually have trouble with ankles? It could be you are positioning yourself wrong or putting pressure in the wrong parts of your body. I am not an expert tho but I have granny ankles and never did I experience pain in them after yoga.

aah yay, makes me more excited to keep going
was it manageable to do it? like, did it get a lot harder?

and i meant like, the wrists on my hands haha 😭 i guess i could warm them up a bit (stretch) and see if it helps tomorrow before i do the day 2 vid, but i've always had issues with them. like, when (trying to do) handstands and things like that. they just get uncomfy very quickly. i could do it wrong but idk how one could do downwardfacing dog and the plank on ur hands wrongly 🤔

Well both bc it was like a group activity and uh I only had half a bottle when you were also supposed to have a closed one and I can't bend my back so I failed to do some poses lol

It should get better, but I'd probably incorporate some wrist strenghtening exercises to your routine, and make sure you have all the technical down on the pose. It shouls help take pressure out of your wrists, but it also needs some practice to get there.

i feel like beer yoga would result in some strained muscles and headaches and worst case scenario puke so it doesn't sound too bad in comparison to what i imagined hahH

I like doing yoga. I don't practice every day, but I do stretch every morning and meditate in the evenings. If I have the energy do do a longer routine I always aim for that, but I don't put much pressure on it. For me, everyday practice is not sustainable long-term so i rather do one day a week to several.

My favorite is namastehannah but I don't think many of her best videos are up still. It doesn't have much instructions. Otherwise, I like working without videos. I write down a program w a variety of poses I want to focus on, or do sun/moon salutations or the primary series. If you want some heavy ones, probably boho beautiful on youtube. Adrienne is good tho. I also like poking into other varieties, like kemetic yoga.

I would probably focus on learning the correct techniques first and not rush. Some videos can move faster than you manage to properly get into the pose, or leave faster than what feels good to you. So don't be afraid to pause it and listen to your body's needs.

One of the reasons I started yoga was that I had bad backpain from tension and stress. A few weeks after I started, it started going away. Now I only get it back if I am in a stressful situation for a longer time, but starting up a practice again always makes it go away in a few days.

if you can adjust the pose so that your wrists hurt less u should try that, it's ok not to do yoga poses completely correctly if you're unable to. and yeah it might get easier with practice but i don't have personal experience so idk sdhgkj

my mum was a yoga teacher for a while and my dad used to do ashtanga yoga like every day so i've done it on and off! long time ago now tho and i never rly got into it. i always think one day i'll try again i think it'd be good for me

I mean the poses weren't like very hard but we also had very little space and the grass was gross

Honestly it was never my cup of tea when it comes to exercise, so would never do it on my own.

However... The group exercise at my gym there's a thing called hot yoga - that's the one I adore. Yoga done in a hot dark room.  Muscles relax, light yoga, breathing exercises included, stress relief peptalk and relaxing music in the background. Love it

tbh considering done a yoga video and like, set the time to go slower or smth so i can really get into every pose.

aaah that's great news, hope it can help me a bit with my shoulder, neck and back pain as well..!

and thanks for the tips with the youtubers, will check them out when i have the time x
