period coming early

have y'all had that happen? i don't think i've ever had it come this early (5 days) and i'm disturbed tbh, i have no idea why this'd happen. i have pretty regular periods normally

i guess it's really not that big of a deal, but i've always had it come within 1 day of when it was supposed to, or sometimes late but never early. am just perplexed

not really

but several people reported period irregularities from the vaccine, might be it?

Bodies are weird, you can predict it to a point, but it's not like a videogame, we're complicated organisms. I wouldn't worry about it.

ehh, until there's evidence of causation i don't think it's wise to blame the vaxx

nah i will continue to blame the vaccine for my recent period problems and i don't thinks that's bad at all but rather important. thousands of people with an uterus from all over the world reported irregularities after getting the vaccine including some trans men on hormones who experienced a period again. instead of being taken serious i heard german doctors say that it's prob just 'women's nature' to be more emotional and that it's just the stress of getting the vaccine that causes all these problems. medicine mostly focuses on white cis men and it sucks and we should talk about it. there won't be any evidence if they simply don't care about it. women often aren't part of studies and here in germany you can report side effects of the vaccine, but reporting irregularities with your period isn't even an option. you can still state under like a 'other side effects' thing but still. they simply don't care.

but also i wouldn't worry too much about it. might be the vaccine, might be your body just acting up idk. i wouldn't think too much about it but if you ever feel uncertain just go to the gynecologist.

The medical system has a long sordid history of brushing off anything that primarily affects folks with a uterus.
Our hormonal fluctuations are seen as a "nuisance" to medical trials, most labs will only use male rats for this reason.

It's something to take note of, and warn folks of to be prepared for, lots of folks use cycle tracking for birth control, mental health monitoring, some folks with ADHD have to adjust their medication dosages throughout their cycle, etc. But medical professionals just don't fucking care enough to do research on XX folks because it's extra work.

ok, fine, of course it should be studied (which it is) but i think it's stupid to blame people's health issues that could be due to any number of other things on thus far unconfirmed vaccine side effects. like i know you're saying uterus havers' medical issues get brushed off but i've seen a lot of people's medical issues recently being brushed off with "it's just the vaccine". and i don't like that. a lot of people are having issues that are not being taken seriously because ppl say it's probably just the vaccine.

& idk why y'all are turning this thread into a vaccine debate..... can't escape that anywhere anymore, smh
