Ellie and Elliot update

it’s been two or three weeks since Elliot came home. At the start ellie didn’t accept Elliot, but she was most likely still in grief since he old buddy died.
but it’ s taken baby steps with them, spending time with them one by one and a few days ago I started letting them out together. I was preparing some treats for them in separate bowls, but they began eating out of the same bowl inside the bottom of Ellie!s cage (it can only be opened from the top so when I let her out I remove the entire wire part idk what to call it)
she accepted him eating out of it and they ate together. He explored her cage a little and she let it happen and they have each other what I wanna call bunny hugs.
I’m gonna let them spend about 15 minutes inside the cage together, since I aim to be able to have them together in the same cage at some point.
the progress made has been amazing, and I’m so happy to see them getting along after a bad start.
I stay close to the cage and watch them all the time, ready to remove him if something happens.
I can see her attempting to groom him.
